You work a couple extra hours for the man

The shift boss comes over in his ceremonial business robe. He asks for some crew members to stay a couple hours late to help out the man. You don't even know where you home is so you decide to kill another couple of hours then. The work is a hard special project. From the engine room where a explosion in generator 342b has left a greasey tangle of broken machine parts. Big heavy parts that you are to drag or carry to this massive parts melter downstairs. The rest of the crew has gone home to its just you. Hard dirty work dragging these parts down the long hall to the giant sized freight elavator. Then you push a big twisted chunk of metal over the edge of the melter. It falls with a molten splash and burns and becomes part of the red hot goo below. The next part you drag down here turns out to be a problem. A barb of scarred up metal snaps your belt loop when you toss it over. You spiral down into the burning red goo with it and die instantly. The never find your body and they assume you quit and walked out mid shift.
