Darkstar was taken over from within by the Black Sun Mafia. No one even realized it was happening until it was too late; or maybe it was that they realized, and had long since ceased to care. Was the Darkstar always the Black Sun?
It hardly matters now: the Black Sun is _Proof_ of Extraterrestrial Involvement (EI)
